I Wasn't Always a Copywriter.
For more than 20 years, my world was one of precision, systems, and life-or-death details. As an Aircraft
Mechanic and later an Aerospace Engineer, my job was to make sure multi-million dollar aircraft didn’t
fall out of the sky. I was surrounded by brilliant minds—experts who had poured their lives into creating
revolutionary technology.
But the most critical failure I ever witnessed wasn’t mechanical. It was a failure to communicate.
I saw it happen over and over again: geniuses with world-changing products who froze when it came time
to explain why their work mattered. Their message, packed with incredible value, would get lost in a sea
of jargon, data, and features. Their passion was trapped behind a wall of poor communication, and their
potential to make an impact was grounded before it ever had a chance to take off.
It became an obsession. I realized the biggest challenge wasn’t building a better product; it was building a
better bridge to that product. And that bridge was made of words.
So, I did what any engineer would do: I set out to deconstruct the system. I dove headfirst into the world
of copywriting, not just to learn how to write pretty sentences, but to understand the mechanics of
persuasion. I studied the psychology of decision-making, the timeless art of storytelling, and the science
of conversion with the same intensity I once reserved for hydraulic systems and aerodynamics.
And what I discovered surprised me. The most effective copy wasn’t about hype, gimmicks, or clever
taglines. It was about empathy. It was about the ability to deeply understand an audience’s hopes, fears,
and dreams, and then clearly and authentically show them a path to a better future. It wasn’t about
selling; it was about serving.
Today, I bring that same engineer’s mindset to my work with course creators and coaches. You are the
